10.29.17

Hello! We are thinking about switching our cable to direct tv and century link internet. Why does that matter.. ;). If we can do this (in the past we have Uber. Able to because we have so many trees) we will have to change email addresses. Please note I have sent this from a different email that I’m starting to use.. so if you ever want to email me back.. it’s dkshoop@yahoo.com then I won’t have to worry what internet I have.

This week was nice. I only had one job this week. Somehow I thought I would get so much more done.. but at least it was relaxing.
I was a little sad because originally we were planning on going to Utah this week. Some things came up so we couldn’t go. I was really really looking forward to seeing Hazel and family and so many of our great friends!plus all my Facebook memories kept popping up of Melissa and Hazel being here last year. It was making me so sad.

Saturday was a great day that cheered me up. This past week was gorgeous out, so that helped, too! Almost at the last minute we decided to go to a conference in Tacoma, “When life gets hard” with John Bytheway, Hank Smith, Meg Johnson. It was so good. Lots of laughs and inspiration. I’m trying to be thankful for my trials and learn from them. I’m trying to have a good attitude about whatever happens. Bonus, the Falter family was there, too and we got to sit with them. It was in a cute little theatre and looking out he window you could see the water. And it was beautiful out!!

Afterwards we walked around Tacoma and had lunch in a cute little hamburger place.

Stadium high school was close by so we walked around that campus. I can’t even imagine going to school there. Wow!

Can you imagine going to football games there?!

We found a cute little drug store that had the greatest toys and old toys. I could of spent a lot of $ there. Keagan got these hands that you put on each finger. He was was easily amused and kept putting them on me.

We then drove along Rushton way, which is along the waterfront.  My. Rainier in the background, beautiful fall leaves everywhere, and the b mob blue water and sky above. Wow!

And a couple cute pics of Hazel!

Have a good week! Happy Halloween?!
Love you all!

10.15.17

Well.. the biggest news today is that I got a new calling! YW President. I think I will be released from my stake primary calling next week. I’m mostly excited and a little nervous I’m happy to get to know the girls! My primary calling has been such a blessing and I’m sure this will be, too.
The leaves are changing colors and it’s been beautiful! I tried to get a pic when we were out driving.

In preschool we played with gak (slime). It’s funny to me that this past year it is such a popular thing.. I’ve been making it for the past 20 years. It is always such fun!

Melissa and Chaz have been able to go on a once in lifetime trip with Chaz’s whole family. His siblings and parents. His mom went to BYU Hawaii and promised them when they were all adults she would take them, so this week we have been goofing pictures from them of their trip!!

At the dole plantation

One of the many waterfalls and beautiful places there!

Keagan took Mikaela to a stake dance. They decided they wanted to dress up because he didn’t want to go to his homecoming. (It’s not he greatest environment...). They’re cute!

And my friend Darri got to come Saturday for a few days. She has a work conference in Renton, so luckily I got to see her! So fun! We drove to our other friend Sues last night.

Well now I’m sure my life will be busier with this new calling! 😊
Love ya all!

10.8.17

Today the three Yelm wards met together for one meeting with knowing there was going to re organization. I’ve heard that the Deschutes River ward was dissolved and divided into the Yelm and McKenna wards. I’m not really sure how the dividing lines are and who’s in what wards.. I keep syncing my lds tools to see what I can find out.

We here that they might be doing something soon with the stake center wards. Pretty exciting stuff!

It’s started to be cold in the morning and warmish in the afternoon. I feel like I’m turning on the heat in my car and ac in the afternoon. Ha! But it has been beautiful!

We got to go to the temple yesterday for sealings. It was so nice to go to the temple. Traffic was a little crazy on the way there! Our sealer was awesome!

Isn’t it wonderful and amazing that General conference is already in the gospel library?!

Have a great week! Love you all!

I can’t believe I hardly took any pictures this week. They were mostly preschool pics.

10.1.17

Can you believe it is October?!
I loved watching conference and feeling the spirit of those meetings. I'm glad we can watch them over and over and read them. I feel I never get enough out of them at first. I really enjoyed the last talk of conference by Elder Anderson.

I can never remember what I did during the week when it comes to Sunday night. Good thing I take so many pictures. 😉
This week was nice because we all had Friday off. There was no school and it was Ray's Friday off. We took Keagan out to Yelm to go to the football game.. and to see Mikaela. It was funny, I posted a picture of going to Yelm and said something like, going to see a football game or a girl?! I loved my responses.. 1st one said, FOOTBALL, next one said, duh, the girl of course, and my last response said, oh Keagan, he is so good at multitasking. Ha!

I love that I can play peek a boo in FaceTime with Hazel! She's so fun!

And I had my first grand missionary daughter. Ha! So fun to see so many pics of Lilly! And one of my extra sons. Love them!

And a couple of Keagan's senior pics. They just came in tonight.

Have a great week!
Love ya lots!
