11.25.17

Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving? Ours was really nice! We had my mom and Thom and a family over in our ward that lives far from home. We really love the Virgo family and will be sad when they move with the military in January.
The food was yummy and the company was great. I love have little kids over, too. The Virgo’s have a 9 month old girl, 8 year girl and a 6 year old boy. Plus, Charlie, the husband is one of Keagan’s favorite people.

Ray loves the little kids!

Hazel “helping” with the tree.
So thankful for FaceTime! Tonight with Hazel.

Earlier this week I got to have these two cuties over for dinner and to visit. I love visits from my “extra” kids. Jesse and Maria are so cute together. I’m very happy for them!

We need to finish decorating for Christmas. We have the tree up and lights on.. but that is it. I just need to get the Christmas stuff cleaned up before Tuesday and preschool.

Have a great week!
Love ya!

11.19.17

I can hardly believe the holiday season is upon us. Mostly I love it.. time off, time to spend with family and friends and time to focus on what is most important in life. Like our Savior.

I just went to a missionary fireside tonight. It was so good. The testimonies of the new converts were amazing. A couple of them have really been through a lot and been able to turn there life’s around and be baptized. Amazing! The music was wonderful too, as always and it made miss my missionaries that I would go to see at these firesides.
They sing the same songs and it makes me think of you guys!
Today was fun to see Jesse Williamson and meet his fiancée, Maria. They are getting married Dec 22. They look so cute and happy together.
I am on the countdown to see my little Denton family next month. They are coming December 15th or 16th, less than a month and I’m so excited.

Hazel showing us her muscles.

Keagan finally got his eagle from the scout office. His court of honor will be when melissa is here.

I wasn’t fast enough.. this couple was riding side by side in the grocery store this week. Hahaha

Our good friend Kenzie Redding is going to beauty school in Centralia. We went down there to get our hair cuts.

I visiting teach Hilde Banes and her grandson is serving a mission here in the watac. She was so excited to see him, even though you might not be able to tell in this pic.

And a special shout out to Yanni- Happy birthday elder Beckdol!

Have a great week!
Love ya!

11.12.17

I had an amazing opportunity to go hear Elder Stevenson from the quorum of he 12 apostles Saturday evening. And Elder Kearon (sp?) from the 70. Keagan also got to go hear them in a youth group of 11 stakes.  I feel blessed that I got to go, too. My meeting was for all the auxiliary presidents who are women and the stake presidencies in the 11 stakes. So, it was a smaller group.
It was wonderful to sit at an apostle’s feet and to see a personal side of him. He was joking with us, but yet bearing testimony. It was wonderful! What a great blessing to have modern revelation and leaders that care and love us.
I was finally released today from my stake calling, too.

The other major news is that my little Denton family is moving to Denver in January. I’m happy for them. It will be nice for them to be on their own. The only thing I’m sad about is that it isn’t a long one day drive away anymore. But from what I’ve seen.. the airfare is a lot cheaper there. And I will miss seeing all my “extra” Utah Family. We still haven’t decided what our plan of attack is for spring break. We had it all planned to go to Utah and Vegas. We’ll see now. As long as we see Hazel.. and her parents :)

Love ya!
Have a good week

11.5.17

Tuesday I got a message from my aunt that my Grandma Pat had passed away. I got the message 15 minutes before preschool started. I had to pull myself together and be cheerful for the kids. It was probably good timing now that I think of it. I would of been too sad.

(My grandma and Me when I was born)

My dad has had a rough time the past couple of years. My favorite Uncle passed away last 2 years ago (my dad’s Brother and best friend) and then my step mom last year. My aunt Asked me what I thought was the best way to tell him.. I decided to drive out to Elma and tell him. That was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, knowing he’s had so much loss lately. He’s not a member and I’m not really sure what his understanding is about death. (I guess I need to talk to him about it)
On the way out there, I was thinking I’m so grateful for my knowledge, knowing that I will get to see her. And she’s my direct line, I will get to do her work!

Halloween was a little sad because of this and it was Keagan’s first year not going out. I missed the festivities of Halloween!

Hazel was a cute little chicken!

And it snowed Friday!! What?! Too early for me! I hope it’s not a sign of our coming winter! Luckily it didn’t last long!

I got to go down to Portland with a couple of friends, Ellen Walker and Sue Williamson, for time out for women. We opted to go only Friday night. I’m glad. We were exhausted with just that.  But it was wonderful!

Next weekend An apostle, Elder Stevenson is coming to Tacoma and talking to 11 stakes! There is a meeting for the youth, parents of young children(not me Anymore!) and auxiliary Presidents. I get to go to the last one. How exciting is that!

I love you all! Have a great week!
