11.29.15

I'm exhausted. The happy content exhausted. The wedding was wonderful. They are married! Can't believe her last name is different now! She was beautiful! (of course!)

I am grateful for all the love our family was showed. I really felt it! We are so blessed! So many people helped with the reception. We had so many kind words and acts of kindness!

One of my tender mercies this week was having Jared Oliphant coming to stay with us. He helped in so many ways! His cheerful disposition and he helped with wedding prep. I love him mucho!:)

Melissa looked so happy and beautiful! Her dress was gorgeous! Chaz looked handsome and happy. He's such a good person. He's a good fit for Melissa. He makes her laugh and can keep her calm. I love him! I love that I gained another son!

We lucked out this week with The weather, it was gorgeous! But cold.

I don't know how to condense my 200+pictures from this weekend..
So i putt several in picture collages.

Friday was a fun filled day. I started off taking Jared and Keagan to Long lake to go on a Polar dip?!! Jared said that as a missionary, obviously he couldn't jump into Long lake so he wanted to now. He somehow talked Keagan into jumping in the lake when it was only 25 degrees out! I wish I could share the video with you. It was pretty funny! Lots of high pitch squealing! I went along to take pictures. It was gorgeous out!

Bro. Shoop, me, Melissa, and Chaz went to get pedicures and then to Seattle.

Love you guys lots! I'm so grateful for the Gospel!!

11.22.15

It's cold outside! I'm grateful for warm fires, heated car seats, car starters that I can warm my car up before I have to go outside, and electric blankets!

This week we were able to go see a play at north thurston, bye bye birdie. It was so good, cute, and wholesome. It was fun, too that there were several lds kids in it. And the night we were there the audience was full of members from our stake.

Keagan has been so sweet. He is such a good kid! Several times this week he has made me laugh and brought me comfort! One funny he said.. We were on the way to nths to go to the play. I said we're a little early, we can go to Hobby Lobby (a super sized craft store and he hates that store)
K- I'm never going there again... Unless I go with a girl.
Bro. shoop - you can go with your mom..she's a girl..
K- she doesn't count!
Haha

We had a new priest boy move in. (Richie) He's had a rough life. He was a foster kid, got adopted and then his adopted parents went through a nasty divorce. Keagan was telling me all this and told me how he felt so bad for him and didn't know what to say because he's had such a good life. He said jokingly..I had a bad day in choir the other day...

Keagan has been a good friend to Richie and he's sat with us as he's the only one in his family that comes to church.

Well.. This is the week! Tuesday night one of my favorites comes in to stay with us, Jared Oliphant! And then Melissa and Chaz come in Wed night. Saturday is the big day! I'm excited, happy, and a lot emotional about it. I'm sure I will have lots to say next week! If you haven't seen the invite, I attached it.
Then the following week we drive down to Portland on Thursday and fly to Utah early Friday morning for the reception there.
The church is true!

Love you all!

11.15.15

I can't believe it is less than 2 weeks until Melissas wedding!

Thursday I got a nice surprise. Sis. Falter texted me and said she had an extra time out for women ticket in portland and a place I could stay with her mom and two other older ladies. It was so great. I got to hear Sherri Dew and lots of other great speakers.

It was fun to be the youngest and Glean the wisdom from the older ladies. :)

I think one of the thoughts that I liked the most was that there are angels all around us, more than we know. And we have the right to ask for the protection of Angels in our prayers.

There was also a great talk on happiness. Happy people surround themselves with Happy people try to be happy. In Nephi 17 (I think.. im reading from my notes) Nephi and then Laman and Lemuel describe the same situaion and notice how they describe hem differently. Nephi happy and thankful. Laman and Lemuel not so much.
Another thing Sheri Dew talked about was how questions are good. Nephi 11-14
Nephi asks questions while laman and lemuel were debating and fighting.
Are u willing to engage in a wrestle? The word wrestle .. Wrestle to know the truth of your questions.
It was really good!

And Keagan got to go to the priest laurel conference.

And our missionaries. It was one of their birthdays.
Love ya!

And we heard Gentri!!

Our hotel was really nice!

11.8.15

Hi everyone!
This was a fun week! One of my rms and his new wife came to visit wa and stay with us. They're from Vegas. We picked them up Wed night and will take them home tomorrow. They've got to visit all his areas in the mission and done fun things too.

Yesterday we got to take them to Seattle. It was so fun even though it was pouring down rain and windy.

We rode the ferry from Bremerton to Seattle. Then we went to Pikes place market. All around here the news has been all about the gum wall. Next week after 20 years of gum, theyre cleaning it off and it will be closed for a little while. They said the sugars from the gum were eating away the wall. I'm sure it will start back up. It is kind of gross, but I love how unique it is to the area. We saw the fish being thrown and all the odd little shops.(I could spend a lot of time in those!)

We then went to see the Freemont troll.
Then onto Dick's burgers and a park that had a good view of the space needle..although it was rainy!! We dropped the newlyweds off at the space needle and went around the block and picked them up.

I am so happy that they came to visit! I love him! And I'm so grateful to keep in touch with him! I feel blessed to have my extra kids! And especially my rms!

Today, Keagan gave a talk. He did such a good job. He talked about his testimony and because of that it gives him courage to do what is right. I was so proud of him!

I know the church is true! I'm so grateful for it in my life!

Love you all!

11.1.15

Keagan and I went to transfer mtg on Tuesday. We had 21 new missionaries come in. We had 3 new missionaries transfer in, with 2 of them being brand new. One of them is a twin. His twin is serving on the east coast. We have 4 elders in our ward that share our ward and lacey 1.

A kind of funny story.. I like to take pictures of the missionaries and text their picture to their moms.  Elder struble is from the east coast and just got here from the mtc this week. 2 of The elders came and shared a thought with us. I took their pics and the greenie gave me his moms # while he said, I think that's her number. So i sent a text with, is this elder strubles mom? Waiting before I sent the picture. His mom didn't get it until the next morning and it freaked her out.. She thought something might be wrong with him. She called me.. I had to explain to her I was just trying to send her a picture and he was doing great. :/  haha

And because it was early release week we got to have Aurora spend the night. We had pre arranged the missionaries to come over wed. Night. My sister just happened to ask me to have aurora spend the night on wed. Coincidence? I think not. :) They shared the restoration pamphlet with us.

Saturday morning we got up early to leave by 6 to go to the temple. It was stake temple day with meeting in the assembly room at 10.

We wanted to do a session before, not afterwards. The Hernadez ended up being in our session and Luis! I was so happy to see them! We hadn't seen Luis yet since he'd been home. What better way to say welcome home to him than in the temple and celestial room!

Transfer mtg we got to see one of our "old" elders, Elder Larson
And my cute preschoolers below for Halloween.

Keagan had a small Halloween party last night. I heard lots of laughing! He dressed in his sailor costume. It was rainy stormy so much yesterday! We didn't get much trick or treaters. Good/bad thing... I ended up with left over candy.

I love all of you! The gospel is true!
