This was a good week. It was mostly sunny and
warm (for winter). It was in the 50s and 60s! Saturday we drove through
downtown. It was gorgeous! There is one picture from that.. while Bro. Shoop was
driving, I tried to get a picture of the Capitol. Beautiful!
Also we did some good missionary work. We had
Jennifer NIeche over (she just got baptized a few weeks ago) for new member
lessons with the missionaries. It was really good. She has a few questions,
nothing too big, but things like, what are gentiles & Jews.
Larry also came to church with us. Ray got to
give a talk, so I asked the missionaries to sit with us, so it wasn’t too
awkward for me to be sitting with Larry. Larry actually stayed the whole 3
hours. He’s come to church a lot, but I’m not sure if he’s ever stayed the whole
time before. The other little sad news is that Elder Bing is being transferred
to Gig Harbor and we’re getting an Elder Short. I always get a little too
attached to our missionaries and I’m sad when they get transferred. I’m sure the
next one will be great, too.
We were happy to get our income tax check this
week, so we have been doing a little shopping, which is always fun when you have
$. Keagan has been needing a new suit. We went to K & G in Tacoma and got
the males in the house a suit. Keagan was so cute and funny, strutting around in
the suits.. He cracks me up!
So a couple Keagan stories.. The one of him smiling, sitting down, he is talking to Melissa on the cell phone. It was Sat. night, Valentines Day and the stake dance. He was wondering if he should give the girl he kind of likes some chocolates in a heart shape.. He couldn’t decide and was pacing around the house trying to decide, which was pretty funny to watch, I tried to get it on video, but didn’t. So, I told him to call Melissa. She was out on a date with Chaz (someone she’s been dating the last couple of months) and he answered the phone! haha, it was pretty funny, so they put Keagan on speaker phone and were giving him “advice” OH MY GOODNESS... we were all laughing so much and Keagan.. pooor Keagan just didn’t know what to do. Even when he was getting ready to leave, he was like, should I take it... and then ... he chickened out and didn’t and then when he got home, he said he wished he would of.. I’m so glad I never have to be 15 again! HAHA

Another funny sweet Keagan story was we were
watching a “bad” show... Sister Wives, one of those reality shows. Well one of
the daughters is converting to be LDS. She is going to school in Logan and she
had the missionary lessons and has decided that is what she wants to do. She
(the girl getting baptized) was saying things like, I felt really good when I
heard about it, and Keagan was partially shouting at the t.v.... saying
something like, DUH, that’s called the spirit, it was there, that’s what happens
when you read the BoM. Oh my goodness, it was funny, but also made my day that
he was saying these kinds of things and getting so worked up over a silly tv
show!
I subbed at Pleasant Glade and was on recess duty. I wasn’t expecting that
and wasn’t dressed warm enough. I was freezing. That morning was cold and foggy.
I was out on the playground just a couple minutes early and the Kindergarteners
were coming out with their lunch trays. They were so funny. They were asking me,
who are you, what are you doing here. One of them said they were Kindergarteners
and so I said, You’re Kindergarteners and then another said (as he stood up
taller) no we’re first graders, then another said, no (and in a deeper voice and
standing taller) no, we’re 2nd graders. Oh my goodness! They were cracking me
up!
This is Keagan when he was 3 or 4. He has always loved "doing" his hair. He got into the gel..
