7.12.15

This was a good week, although a little tiring.

We left Utah monday morning @7 and got home @830 p.m. So, not too bad. We did stop for a little bit right before Portland because we didn't want to be stuck in traffic.

Tuesday we worked on re arranging the living room. I like to do that every so often. Re arranging is something that I've liked to do, it just gets boring being the same for a while. I had a friend in high school that teased me, saying,  if there were a way you could re arrange your things on the ceiling,  you would!

So, my living room right now is driving me crazy because it's not put back together.  We tore out the corner shelf where the tv was and hung the tv on the wall that's by the garage. But,  in doing that we have all this "stuff" laying around. We also got rid of our China hutch and just yesterday got 2 new shelves, so hopefully tomorrow I'll get it all put back together.  Pictures next week.

Yesterday we drove to see my favorite uncle, vic. He's my dad's younger brother.  My cousin,  Heidi, was visiting from Maryland.  We just got some bad news that my uncle has lung problems (I can't remember the technical term for it..) But he needs a lung transplant.  If he doesn't get one he only has a year or so to live.  This was really hard to hear. Especially because he ha always been the one family member in such good health.
He is the one on my dad's side that knows a lot of family history.  So, I asked him family stories and recorded him on my phone. I've heard him tell the stories before,  but I could listen to them over and over. He's very good about giving lots of little details and making it fun and interesting.  I was a little worried because he has to be on oxygen now and I didn't want to tire him out. He told me he was prepared and turned his oxygen up more so he could talk more... The pictures are of my aunt chris, him (vic) and me. And my cousin Heidi and me. My aunt calls us twins.. when we had our hair cut the same, we really did look so much a like. We're only a few months apart.

Family history is so important to get, you never know when you're not going to be able to get it from your relatives. I'm trying to get more from my relatives!

Today, at church, I was so happy to see Josh Williamson. I will have to say, he looked a little lost. He said it was the first time he'd slept in a room by himself!  Haha I tried to get hi. To come with me to gospel doctrine,  but he went with the missionaries!  :)
Mikala Tilleman who recently came ho.e from a mission spoke today. She did a fabulous job!
There was also a missionary fireside tonight at the oly stake center. It was wonderful.  Yanni was one the people who bore his testimony.  One of the recent converts related getting baptized to having surgery.  She said, baptism is wonderful,  just like having a surgery is wonderful.  But just like surgery, there is still a little pain and hardship afterway, but in the end it is good.

I'm grateful for the gospel!  I love it and know it's true. It brings me great peace and happiness.
I love you all!!!

Oh, the other picture is one that Elder pyne s family sent me this week of when we went to visit them with Jared Oliphant.

Love ya!
